Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how HALO (published by Khejan, LLC) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website (halo.fit). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
In short: we use strictly necessary cookies, plus the Meta pixel to measure our ads — and the pixel runs only as your cookie choice allows. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland it is off unless you choose “Allow”. We do not use analytics cookies, and we do not sell your data.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let a site remember limited information between pages or visits — for example, to keep a session working or remember a preference. Similar technologies (such as localStorage) can serve the same purposes.
2. The cookies we use
Most of what we store is strictly necessary to make the site function and to respect your choices:
- Session & security: a session cookie and a CSRF token that keep the site working and protect form submissions (for example, the waitlist and support forms). These are set by our framework and expire when your session ends.
- Your cookie choice:
halo_ad_consentrecords whether you allowed or declined the Meta pixel, so we don’t ask again on every page. It is shared between halo.fit and app.halo.fit so your choice also applies on the sign-up page, and it expires after six months, when we ask again.
These are exempt from consent requirements under the EU ePrivacy Directive and UK PECR because they are essential to providing a service you have requested.
Advertising measurement (optional): the Meta pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, tells Meta that you visited our website and which pages you viewed, and — if you create a HALO account — that an account was created. It sets Meta’s cookies (such as _fbp, kept for up to 90 days) on halo.fit. We use it to learn whether our Facebook and Instagram ads work. We never send Meta your name, email address, or anything you put into HALO. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — or when we cannot tell where you are — it runs only if you choose “Allow”. Elsewhere it runs unless you choose “Opt out” or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
3. Cookies we do not use
- No analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics).
- No advertising or tracking tools of any kind inside the HALO application.
- No advertising cookies other than the Meta pixel described above.
If this changes, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
4. Third-party services
Some pages load resources from third parties that may set their own cookies when invoked — for example, our support form uses a bot-protection widget (Cloudflare Turnstile), and we load web fonts from Google Fonts. These are used only to deliver the feature in question and are not used by us for tracking. Please see the respective providers’ policies for details.
5. Managing cookies
You can change your Meta pixel choice at any time with Cookie choices, also at the foot of every page. The remaining cookies are strictly necessary, so there is nothing else to opt out of for the site to function. You can still clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings — though doing so may sign you out or re-show the cookie banner.
Most browsers let you manage cookies under Settings → Privacy.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
