This page explains how to delete your data in HALO (published by Khejan, LLC), what is removed, and what may be retained. It applies to the HALO mobile apps and the web app at app.halo.fit.
You do not have to delete your entire account to remove data — you can delete specific data on its own, or delete your whole account. Both options are described below.
1. Delete specific data (and keep your account)
You can remove individual records at any time, directly in the app, without deleting your account:
- Tasks, habits, goals, calendar events, home inventory, financial accounts and transactions — open the item and choose Delete.
- Health & fitness data — delete individual entries from the relevant tracker.
- Cycle & Ovulation (reproductive/sexual-health) data — delete individual logs, or withdraw consent in the reproductive-health settings. Withdrawing consent stops further collection and purges the reproductive data and its on-device cache.
Deleting a record removes it from your account. Some data may persist briefly in encrypted backups (see Retention below).
2. Delete your entire account and all associated data
You can request full account deletion in two ways:
- In the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm.
- On the web: sign in at app.halo.fit/user/profile and use the Delete Account section.
After you confirm, your account enters a 7-day cooling-off period (in case the request was accidental — you can cancel within this window by signing back in). After 7 days, the account and its associated data are permanently deleted.
If you cannot access the app, email support@halo.fit from the address on your account and we will process the request on your behalf.
3. What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove your personal data, including:
- Account and profile information (name, email, authentication data)
- Tasks, habits, goals, notes, and calendar events
- Health & fitness data, and reproductive/sexual-health data
- Financial accounts, transactions, and budgets
- Home inventory, photos, and other user content
- Family/household data you own
- Push-notification tokens for your devices
On-device caches are cleared when you log out or delete your account.
4. What may be retained, and for how long
- Cooling-off window: during the 7-day window described above, your data is retained so the deletion can be cancelled.
- Encrypted backups: residual copies in routine encrypted backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.
- Legal and financial records: where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, transaction or tax records tied to a paid subscription), we keep only the minimum required by law for the required period, after which they are deleted.
We do not sell your data, and we do not retain deleted data for advertising.
